Connecting Your Equipment with the New JDLink™ Modem Kit: Simplifying Operations and Enhancing Support

In today’s dynamic agricultural landscape, the JDLink™ modem kit stands out as a valuable solution for connecting various types and sizes of equipment to the Operations Center. Whether it’s older machines, support vehicles, or equipment that didn’t come factory-connected, JDLink™ ensures seamless integration to support your operations.

Getting your equipment connected is a straightforward process consisting of two simple steps:

  1. Adding the equipment to your Operations Center account, if not already there.
  2. Pairing a modem to the equipment.

To facilitate the equipment-to-modem pairing, place the modem in your John Deere account so we both have the capability to pair the modem to a machine in the Equipment section of the Operations Center via the portal at https://Equipment.Deere.com.

For machines already in your account, the process involves navigating to the “Machines” tab, filtering for machines with ‘no modem’, selecting the machine, accessing the details panel, choosing “Pairings”, and then proceeding to select and pair the desired modem. Detailed instructions and images for pairing JDLink modems are available in the online help documentation here.

Adding your equipment to your John Deere account is essential for modem pairing. Fortunately, a range of user-friendly methods and helpful documents are available to assist in this process:

  • Utilize Equipment Mobile for adding equipment, finding parts, and accessing operator’s manuals.
  • Add equipment directly through the web interface in Equipment.
  • Equipment can also be added using Operations Center mobile.

To further enhance user experience and facilitate seamless integration, the Equipment Mobile application offers features tailored to suit every customer, regardless of the size or type of operation. Additional guidance on this application is available in the help documentation, while the John Deere Operations Center™ playlist serves as a valuable resource for learning about available features on web and mobile applications.

Additionally, John Deere introduces a solution with the availability of a new wiring harness that allows you to connect a JDLink M Modem to machines lacking a CANBUS, such as older machines and work Gators. This innovation caters to various brands and offers a solution for connecting your entire fleet, whether you manage job sites, a crew of 10, or your personal machines. To access this new wiring harness, put in a parts request and inquire about the kit number AT557522.

The JDLink™ modem kit continues to revolutionize equipment connectivity, ensuring that all your machines are seamlessly integrated into the Operations Center, optimizing support for your operation’s success.
